Our school is accredited by the Southern Association of
Colleges and Schools (SACS). This
status is reviewed every 5years. To
be a SACS Accredited school, schools must meet high standards, continually
improve, and be evaluated by a team of professionals every 5 years. Kehoe-France Northshore was last
evaluated in February of 2004, and is preparing for a new review in the Spring of 2009.
In the Spring of 2008, the LA SACS
office will notify Kehoe-France Northshore that we are scheduled to host a
Quality Assurance Review Team (QAR Team) during the next school year. We will select dates for this visit and
post them here once they are scheduled.
In the Fall of 2008, the LA SACS
office will activate our SAR (Standards Assessment Report) online so that we may
begin entering information.
We will be collecting and organizing data for this report using surveys,
interviews, and school records.
Parents will be contacted to serve on SACS committees and to complete
surveys to help Kehoe-France on its journey of continuous improvement and
self-assessment. Between 6 months
and 6 weeks before our scheduled QAR visit, Kehoe-France Northshore will
complete the SAR and submit it to the LA SACS office for review. The QAR Team will have access to our SAR prior to
their visit in the Spring of 2009.
We will post updates here as we move through the
accreditation process in anticipation of the QAR Team’s visit next
spring.
