LEGO® MINDSTORMS® Education NXT resources bring a hands-on approach to middle school classrooms, supporting student engagement within science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).
Our ROBOTICS class is a hands-on, minds-on approach– the core of which is the enduringly engaging and versatile LEGO brick – designed to help students take ownership of the learning process, enabling them to actively develop the problem-solving skills and collaborative outlook necessary to become creators.
In Robotics class, the students will plan and build a new robot using LEGO® bricks, letting their creativity and imaginations loose. Along the way, they learn science and engineering concepts, such as how pulleys, levers and motors work.
As the robots take shape, the students experiment with LEGO® MINDSTORMS® Education NXT software. They discover how to apply computer programming concepts and find new ways to get their “bot” moving.
Then, the energy levels reach a high point, as the kids challenge other robots to friendly duel.
